What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade changes the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions and a fairer deal for farmers and workers in developing countries. It offers an alternate supply chain to small farmers and artisans, giving them access to the larger worldwide market.
Fair Trade producers form co-ops, and each co-op commits to improving its own small community. For example, a percentage of the annual Fair Trade profits, called the Fair Trade Premium, is put back into the community each year to improve the quality of the village. That may mean buying school uniforms and supplies for the children, bringing in clean water, purchasing medicine, or any project the co-op members agree on. Fair Trade means opportunities for families and a bright future for children.

About our Baskets, Boxes and Buckets
Every basket, box and bucket contains at least one Fair Trade item. Because of the nature of Fair Trade, we are unable to exchange every item for a Fair Trade certified item, but when we can, we do. We are committed to helping our brothers and sisters around the world as they work to escape the bonds of poverty.
